Commercial disclosure
Revenue must not be mistaken for trust.
SafarScanner may earn money from operator relationships. We explain those relationships so users can judge listings and promotions clearly.
An operator may pay for a qualifying enquiry or attributed booking.
An operator may pay for software, profile management or reporting tools.
Paid placement must be labelled clearly before a user engages with it.
Payment must not buy or protect a verification status.
How SafarScanner may earn money
SafarScanner’s planned revenue models include a fee for a consented, qualifying referral; an operator subscription; an attributed-booking commission; or a clearly labelled sponsorship. The precise model may differ by operator.
What commercial relationships can influence
A commercial arrangement may influence whether an operator receives paid tools, reporting, profile-management access or an advertising placement. Any sponsored result must be visually distinct and labelled “Sponsored” or “Ad” where users first see it.
What payment cannot buy
- A verified status or favourable verification outcome.
- The removal of accurate warnings, missing-field labels or correction history.
- A misleading organic rank or an undisclosed recommendation.
- Preferential handling of a safety, accuracy or consumer complaint.
Verification must follow the same published evidence standard for paying and non-paying operators. A commercial relationship is not an endorsement.
Ranking and comparison
Organic comparison should use relevant user-selected criteria and disclosed quality or freshness signals. If commercial factors affect a result, that result should be separated or labelled so the user does not confuse payment with relevance.
Booking responsibility remains with the operator
Even where SafarScanner earns a referral or commission, the travel operator remains responsible for its offer, response, contract, payment, travel documents and service. SafarScanner does not take the traveller’s booking payment.
