Corrections policy

See something wrong? Tell us clearly.

Package information changes. Travellers and operators can flag inaccurate, outdated or misleading information for review.

Source standard: SafarScanner records facts from operator public sources. A correction request does not automatically prove either version; we check the evidence and label uncertainty.

What you can report

  • An incorrect price, date, airport, hotel, itinerary or inclusion.
  • A package that has expired, sold out or materially changed.
  • Incorrect operator identity, contact or financial-protection information.
  • A broken or mismatched source link.
  • A commercial label, verification label or description that may mislead.

What to include

  1. The SafarScanner page, operator and package involved.
  2. The exact statement you believe is wrong.
  3. The corrected information and a dated source link, screenshot or document.
  4. Your relationship to the information, such as traveller or authorised operator representative.

Redact passport, payment and unrelated personal information before sending evidence.

How we review a request

  1. We acknowledge and log the report.
  2. We assess urgency and may temporarily label or hide high-risk information.
  3. We compare the report with the cited source and may ask the operator for clarification.
  4. We correct, qualify, retain or remove the information and record the reason.
  5. We tell the requester the outcome where appropriate.
Founder confirmation neededSet and publish operational targets for urgent safety reports, ordinary factual corrections and appeals. Do not promise response times until a monitored workflow and owner exist.

What this process does not do

SafarScanner does not decide booking disputes, compel refunds or act as the operator’s complaints team. Booking, payment and service complaints should first go to the operator. Where appropriate, use the protection provider, card provider, regulator or independent advice available to you.

Fairness and abuse

We will distinguish factual corrections from opinion, commercial pressure and attempts to suppress accurate information. Paying operators and non-paying operators use the same correction standard. Repeated abusive or knowingly false submissions may not receive a response.

Submit a correction

Use our contact page and mark the subject “Correction request”. Include evidence but no sensitive traveller information.

Standard
Evidence-led and neutral

We aim to correct public-source information transparently. A listing is not an endorsement, and payment does not protect an operator from correction.
