Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and software development kits. They can support essential functions, remember choices or measure behaviour.

Our approach

SafarScanner will not place non-essential analytics, advertising or affiliate-tracking technologies before obtaining any consent required under UK law. Rejecting non-essential technologies must be as easy as accepting them.

Strictly necessary: may be used for security, consent choices, load balancing or a feature you request.
Preferences: may remember optional settings only where appropriate.
Analytics or advertising: must remain off unless introduced transparently with an appropriate consent control.

What is currently used

The production comparison service should be technically scanned before launch and after every material release. Its live cookie inventory must replace this implementation-stage description.

Founder and technical confirmation neededRun a production cookie scan across the main site and enquiry flow. Record each cookie or local-storage key, provider, purpose, duration and category here. Confirm whether Cloudflare security features set any strictly necessary cookies.

Managing your choices

If SafarScanner introduces optional cookies, the site will provide controls to accept, reject and revisit those choices. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser, although blocking essential storage may affect requested functions.

Browser controls do not replace SafarScanner’s responsibility to obtain consent where it is required.
